Terms of Service

The terms that govern your use of Qrfast.io, including acceptable use, the licence covering QR codes you generate, and our liability limits.

Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using Qrfast.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the service.

What the service is

Qrfast.io is a free tool for generating QR codes. The codes are produced in your browser and downloaded directly to your device. There is no account, no subscription, and no limit on how many codes you create.

The service is offered as-is to anyone, without registration. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time.

Your codes are yours

You own the QR codes you generate. You may use them for personal or commercial purposes without attribution, licensing, or payment to us. We claim no rights over the codes you create or the content you encode in them.

This is worth stating plainly because some generators do not work this way: services that issue "dynamic" QR codes route every scan through their own servers, and the code stops working if you stop paying. Qrfast.io generates static codes that encode your data directly, so nothing we do — including shutting down — can break a code you have already downloaded.

For completeness: the QR code specification itself is an open ISO standard (ISO/IEC 18004). Denso Wave holds patents on it but has waived enforcement for the standard format, so no licence is required to use QR codes commercially.

Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the content you encode and for ensuring it complies with all applicable laws.

You agree not to use Qrfast.io to create QR codes that lead to:

Because codes are generated in your browser, we have no visibility into what anyone encodes and therefore no ability to detect or block misuse at generation time. This does not make misuse acceptable, and we reserve the right to restrict access where we become aware of it.

No warranty

The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

In particular, we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a generated code will scan correctly on every device, at every size, on every material, under every lighting condition. QR code readability depends on print quality, size, contrast, surface, and the scanning device — factors outside our control.

Test any code before you commit to a print run. Print a proof at final size, on the real material, and scan it with more than one phone. This is your responsibility, not ours, and it is the single most effective way to avoid an expensive mistake.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Qrfast.io and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

This includes losses arising from a code that fails to scan, a code that encodes incorrect information, or reliance on a destination that has since changed or gone offline. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service, which is zero.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Intellectual property

The Qrfast.io name, logo, site design, and underlying software are our property and may not be copied, reproduced, or reused without permission. This does not extend to the QR codes you generate, which are yours as described above.

If you embed a third-party logo in a code — a brand mark, an app icon, a social platform logo — you are responsible for having the right to use it.

Advertising

Qrfast.io is supported by advertising, including Google AdSense. By using the service you acknowledge that third-party advertisements may be displayed, and that those providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies. See our privacy policy for what those providers collect.

Links to other sites

QR codes you generate may point to websites we do not control, and this site may link to external resources. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or practices of any third-party site.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision, and continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
